There have been a handful of things that we knew we would want to do before we left Texas – and this was one of them! Sydnee studied Lincoln in school – and LOVED him. We knew she would enjoy seeing his home, and the museum all about him.
Little did I know, I would actually enjoy it too. To be honest – History is not my gig. But I really really really enjoyed this museum. It was so well done – interesting things to see, great presentations, and very entertaining. HIGHLY recommend!

And after all of the fun Lincoln photo-ops, we drove over to see the train station, where he made a famous farewell address to Springfield.

We then drove over to see his home. So fascinating to see where he lived! His neighborhood is all a historically preserved area.

And lastly, we drove by his grave.

I feel like I know so much more about this great president!

Until next time,
