New York! I could not believe we had already made it this far north. It felt like light-years away during the planning stages… and here we were.
We stayed at the campground called “Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort”. We read reviews, and had hesitations – and they were all wrong! What a great campground this was.
Tons to do…. ziplining for the kids (big and small!), pools, crafts, events…. we did not even have time to enjoy the majority of the things. They also had a fun little campground store, with cute items inside. Overall, more on the pricey side for us, but very safe and fun. We loved it.
We then spent one entire day in the Niagara Falls State Park. David’s brother, Erik, also was able to join us!
We did the Maid of the Mist, of course. That was quite an experience! I had no idea you practically go INTO the falls. LOL Benjamin still tells us he does NOT want to go back on that boat. HA!
After the boat ride, I think I spent the entire rest of the day trying to capture the majestic feeling of the waterfalls with my camera. SO. MANY. PHOTOS. I just could not get over how pretty it was!
We attempted multiple family photos – I think this one is my fav. LOL
And we loved going to the top and watching the water drop-off… so cool!
David and Conner were brave enough to experience the Cave of the Winds…. they basically stood under the falling water at the bottom of the American falls. Needless to say, they were soaked.
We then killed some time, watching the sunset.
And then we saw the falls lit at night. So pretty! They started off at green/white and switched to yellow for “Hope for Covid”.
What a day! I feel like we experienced all the falls have to offer. The biggest disappointment was that the Canada side is closed due to the pandemic. So unfortunately, we did not get to experience that part of the falls. But regardless, we had fun.
Until next time!
