Home to the Indy500…. and a dear friend, Amy. 🙂
We were able to take a few days and stop in Indianapolis. We stayed at Indianapolis KOA Holiday – which was a great park. We had lots of playground time, lots of pool time, and they had the cutest horses on property. We fed them and pet them – more times than I wanted!
We also met up with a friend from Dallas, Amy. Her son is also Type 1, so it was fun for Sydnee to connect with another kid who is just like her – and not to mention, we both have 3 kids and they all played SO well!
We spent our first day splashing in a creek, near their home. Lots of splashing and rock throwing!
The second day we spent visiting the Indy500 track. We were lucky enough to come on a day when an Indy car was being practiced on the track!
Amy’s boys were able to sleep over in our trailer that night – so it was a big camping kid-party. 🙂
The next day, we spent the whole day at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum. This was an amazing children’s museum – full of interactive and fun activities. Lots of the “hands on” things were closed, but there was still plenty of fun to have.
Unfortunately, this was the day we said goodbye to our Indy friends. This was a hard moment for all the kiddos – they connected so well!
I just love this part of RV life – seeing friends who we would not normally be able to spend time with!
Until next time!
